This year, once again, the organization of the Nevers Marathon invites you to come test your luck on the circuit. "But which circuit?" Well, the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit, of course! 🤓 And you probably know it if you're a Formula 1 fan, because it's the one that saw the great Formula 1 🏎️, as it gave the legendary Michael Schumacher 🚀 win 8 races. Just that! But we know not everyone is a wheelbaron like him and it might take you a few years to catch him on the podium! 🏆 But enough talk, since we know your favorite vehicle is your legs 🦵. And you’ll have great opportunities to put them to work with the 4 running distances (42 km, half, 10 km and 4 km) and the Ekiden 🇯🇵 offered to you. The little racers are also invited since some kids' races are also on the program. You and your dream team have a rendezvous in November in Nevers, in the Nièvre, in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. As you can gather, you’ll start from the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit, where you’ll have the privilege of taking your first strides in the turns and the chicanes of the circuit... With no pit stops! 😜 Next, you’ll discover the charms of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté 🍷, from the château de Sallay 🏰, with its sublime architecture, to the château Planchevienne (in the town of Magny-Cours) through those of Fertôt to Gimouille... 🥰 You got it, it’s going to be a perfect cocktail 🍸 between history and modernity, tourism and sport 🏋️‍♀️. You’ll also pass by the castles of the Dukes and Lords of Burgundy and you’ll cross the Grand-Bois estate and then the Canal Latéral à la Loire to enjoy a dash of greenery 🌱. By the way, you’re quite likely to catch the first autumn colors 🍂. Once near the finish, you’ll see the city of Nevers, brimming with cultural, historical and gastronomic gems. The Loire will also be one of your landmarks. You won’t miss it, it’s France’s largest river 🇫🇷 and the last wild river. What a stroke of luck! 🍀

Little clarifications for the two most special events in the competition: the Ekiden and the LAP. If you don’t know them, that’s totally normal—it’s the newest addition! 👶 For the very first time, you’ll have the chance to prove yourself by trying to smash a record ⏱️. The best-time for a lap around the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit 🔄. Grab your watch, it’s time to heat up the tires! 🛞 And regarding the last event, let us give you a little sting 🐝 of reminder. The idea is simple: it involves running the equivalent of a marathon (that’s 42,195 km) in a team relay race of six runners 🥳. But be careful, choose your teammates wisely, because you won’t all run the same distance: the first leg will run 5 km, the second 10 km, the third 5 km, the fourth 10, the fifth 5 and the last 7.195 km. And the little treat 🎁 is that the race takes place entirely on the circuit!

You can then recharge the batteries 🪫 and let the engine cool by taking time to enjoy the nougatine and the Négus Nevers 😋. So fire up your engine a bit and do a final brake check…
