No? Well, it was invented especially for this occasion! 😆 This event is a perfect blend of sporting activities 🎽 and festive moments 🥳. All of this is complemented by a tourist discovery and regional cuisine in an playful vibe 🤪. It’s the kind of menu we love, right? 🥘 Born in 2021, the Marathon Bresse Dombes has established itself as a springtime must, thanks to all its assets. In 2025, there were more than 4 300 participants. This year, you’ll be among them to beat a new participation record! 😎

It’s late April🌻 when we meet you, sleeves rolled up and ankles in the breeze🌬️ to start. Here’s what’s on the menu: 5 main routes : a marathon to run solo or in a relay of 2 or 4 🤝, a half-marathon, a 10 km and a 5 km For smaller appetites, 2 charity walks are offered to raise funds for the Ligue contre le Cancer 💪. The first is 7.5 km long and the other 11.6 km. All registration profits go to.Charity index that was €10,000 for the 2025 edition 🤯. An “child” option 👦 is also available so the event becomes a true family gathering 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. We still need to warn you to avoid unpleasant surprises before your plate is served: you’ll have an extra elevation gain 📈. Too easy otherwise! 😅 Get ready to tackle 310 mD+ for the marathon and 178 mD+ for the half. Nothing "inedible" insurmountable, rest assured! 😏 A bit of challenge spices up the game, right? 🌶️ Get your legs ready for D-day... but also your stomach! There will be delicious food stations, local to the region, to tickle your taste buds 😋. And if you can’t wait for race day, a gourmet meal 🍽️ is organized on Saturday evening (booking required) to start the festivites in advance.

Eating is one thing, but that’s not what makes the competition exciting... 😜 There are also the bucolic landscapes waiting for you along the course 🥰. You’ll especially have the chance to pass through several towns with a unique charm! 🤌 Villages, wooded paths, the Dombes ponds, beautiful architecture and even some castles 🏰... This isn’t a traditional road race you’ll be running, because the natural environment will also be part of the experience 🌳. The friendly atmosphere is also a major asset of the event 👍. You’ll find numerous musical animations 🎷 in the heart of the villages. By the way, you can already tuck away your race T-shirt and start looking for your best costume 🎩. YES, the races are costumed ! (and there’s even a competition 🏆) Not mandatory, of course, but photos 📸 from previous editions will surely make you want to try this whimsical adventure 😉. It’s therefore in a more than festive atmosphere 🎉 that you’ll run these kilometers, with the 14 animation points along your route 🪅.
