South, Bouches-du-Rhône, Côte d’Azur, PACA, beaches 🏖️, sea 🌊, calanques 🏞️, sun 🌞, stunning landscapes, want more? 🤔 You have to be nuts not to recognize the beauty of the south of France 🤪.

We don’t need to introduce the famous Marseille-Cassis race… Yet we'll tell you a little more about this sublime world-renowned event 🌎. It started in 1979 (also the year the film Les Bronzés font du ski, oh what a year 😎). In its first edition 700 participants took part in the race 🤓. Today, there are more than 20,000 participants who line up on this route every year! 🤯 Plus it’s in October, so you won’t be too hot 🥵 nor too cold 🥶. Soak up the southern vibe! 😜

Meet at the Orange Vélodrome in Marseille, not for a match at the OM 🔵⚪️ but to set you off at the start of this superb road race 🛣️. The magic of Marseille-Cassis lies in its route too 🧭. Yes, along the 20 km you’ll pass through a myriad of postcard-perfect landscapes 🌅, including a crossing of the Parc national des Calanques, a natural panorama to die for on 12 km 🥰. The highlight? You finish your journey in the heart of the vineyards of Provence, in Cassis. Couldn’t imagine a tougher finish 😅.

If you’re coming for the Marseille-Cassis marathon, it doesn’t exist 😬, but you can still do the return Cassis-Marseille, that works too 🙃. You’ll see all sorts of colors (and no pun intended) with plenty of positive and negative elevation changes, a 5 km climb 📈, and the Col de la Gineste ⛰️ located at 327 meters above sea level, but trust us the beauty of the route and the variety of landscapes will make you forget the pain 😌. By the way, it’s no accident that every year, riders from around the world 🏃 put Marseille-Cassis on their calendars… 🗓️

If you want to take on the challenge ✅, note that the bibs for the 20 km of Marseille-Cassis are in high demand, and the race usually sells out weeks before the big day! 🥲 Don’t panic, organizers offer a resale system once registrations close, but stay quick if you want to get your precious pass and have a chance to cross the finish line 🏁.

After such a burst of energy 🔋, you’ll surely be hungry 🍽️. Unless you’ve saved a little of bouillabaisse in your backpack 🎒, we can offer you a nice slice of anchoïade at the aperitif 😋. Because here there’s no time to start the aperitif! 🥂 By the way, if you’re not chilly, the calanques and the Méditerranée invite you for a quick dip 🏊‍♂️.
