About this event
Between alpine pastures and alpine vibes, the MDS Crazy Loops Courchevel offers 3 days of challenge where each participant links together loops of 3 to 5 km on a high-altitude course, with bivouac or self-sufficiency options. Accessible and supportive, it brings together runners, Para teams, and outdoor enthusiasts who share the effort, cheer each other on, and enjoy a festive village under a starry sky.
Oompa loompa doompety doo ! 🤪 That’s the tune that will come to mind when you see all these runners on the alpine trails 🔎.
“Courchevel, we only go there to ski, right?” ❄️ Well, think again — yes, winter is non-stop sliding on the slopes, that’s for sure. But in summer, all nature lovers dream of these landscapes! 🏞️ Since the MDS Crazy Loops Courchevel is a smash hit every year, why not keep riding that wave? 🤓 3 days, not rest, but a challenge and some meetings! By the way, your quads will probably remember it too — the program is, how can I say it… quite intense 🔥. The goal is as simple as it is addictive: you have 3, 6, 9, 12 or 24 hours to string together as many loops as possible on a 3 to 5 km📍. If you’ve got a quick mind, you’ll recognize the backyard concept 🔄, except here you don’t have to start over every hour 🕘. In short, it’s the pure DNA of the Marathon des Sables dropping into altitude for a challenge where you run, you walk, you stop to scarf a slice of reblochon, and you set off again stronger than ever under a breathtaking starry sky 🌌.
If you love the outdoor sports, you’ve surely heard of Courchevel 🤫. Heads up — this time we’re talking about the municipality, not the ski resort. Yes, snow doesn’t fall year-round, so the white coat will be put away, and the mountain will don its greenest cloak so the party can keep going 💚. With what awaits you, we promise the effort will feel almost secondary to the spectacle 🤩. Running in the heart of the French Alps, ladies and gentlemen, is a privilege. But the real magic of the Crazy Loops is its spirit and inclusivity 🫂. You’ll share the trail with Para sport teams, which means you can support them, accompany them, and even help them tackle a ascent 🥵. On a steeper section, a technical descent, or just for the joy of sharing, you can, at any moment, join a Para team and lend a hand 💪. That’s the beauty of sport 😍. Another good news: our four-legged friends are welcome on the race 🐕. Between loops, the race village becomes the beating heart of the celebration — you’ll forge unique bonds to go all the way to the end of the adventure 👯♀️. To live the experience fully, two options await: the “bivouac” offer of two nights under a tent on MDS, or the “self-sufficient” offer if you prefer bringing your own tent or booking accommodation 🏠. Whether you choose to sleep under the stars or cuddle up after your feats, the vibe will stay festive, alpine, and relaxed 🧘. You run, you walk, you push yourself, you lift others, you stop… and you set off again until exhaustion 🥱.
Once your 42nd loop is finished (or your 2nd — you decide 😌) and your calves beg for a break, the adventure continues 💥. But it’s hard to ignore all the muscles aching when you’re in the middle of the Parc national de la Vanoise! For your general knowledge, this area has been twinned since 1972 with the Parc national du Grand Paradis 🪽 (that sets the tone), and together they form one of the largest protected zones in Europe with 1250 km2 📏. In short, in this green, living space: stroll or swim, paragliding or rafting, tree-top obstacle course or mountain biking, raclette or fondue (just because the calendar says July doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself)... 🫕 In short, there are plenty of options, and boredom doesn’t exist.
