Between Martigues and Carro, the Martigues-Carro le Trail offers a city-to-city race along the Provençal coast, with start and finish at one port and the other, and sea views along the shoreline. Three courses are on the program: 16 km, 28 km and a 9 km walk, all with up to 950 m of elevation gain on the 28 km. A great sporty and charitable opportunity, as part of the proceeds is donated to Humanépal.
Taking off today to the South-East of the France and to a stunning department: the Bouches-du-Rhône. Of course, you could simply travel and visit. But we have a tempting little proposition for you... Hard to say no to! 😏 We invite you to go run the Martigues-Carro Trail ! As you may have guessed, this race is a city-to-city linking Martigues and Carro, two coastal towns spaced by 12 km. A distance that serves as an excuse to traverse the seafront, whether on foot or while running 😃. So, are you as fueled as the Southern sun? If so, get into the swing! 🏃♀️
Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur represents a premier destination ☀️. So, what a chance to reach this region of France and get closer to the exceptional Camargue Regional Natural Park and its landscapes! And you’re doubly lucky: the organizers of the Martigues-Carro le Trail have planned three routes : two trails of 16 km and 28 km as well as a 12 km walk. For info, this race is a lovely blend of style and momentshalfway between urban trail and seaside 🌊. Such an opportunity isn’t to be missed, right? You’ll tread two “worlds”: the arid hills of the area as well as the coastlines of the two coastal towns 😍. By the way, start and finish of the races take place from one port to another! ⚓️ In the meantime, the surrounding hills will be your playground... You’ll get to enjoy 950 mD+ over the 28 km path, quite a bit! 😲 Yes, this isn’t a race for beginners! But it absolutely is a race for humanists! In fact, part of the proceeds from the walking and the 16 km is donated to the Humanépal a nonprofit organization working on rebuilding the Nepal 🇳🇵. There are also kids’ races 👧.
This race in the Bouches-du-Rhône will let you enjoy natural and cultural heritage that’s truly rich. Naturally, the unmissable city of Marseille is a must, if only for the pleasure of climbing to Notre Dame de la Garde and taking in the view 👀. Well, it’s often very windy up there...
