What? You caught a glimpse of the X-Mens in the Morvan?

They’ve surely come to breathe in the fresh air of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in the Nièvre. It’s there, in the town of Château-Chinon 🏰, that you can take part in the Morvan Oxygene Trail in a natural and wild setting. In July, with no risk of sunburn thanks to the cool air rushing through the trees of the Parc Naturel du Morvan.

To fuel up on O2, two distances are on offer: a night trail of 14 km and a trail of 19 km. With your bib on, you’ll learn to protect the landscape around you because this race is well known for its environmental commitment. So beware not to anger Mother Nature if you don’t want to be winded soon! 🌬️

Zumba eh, Zumba ah! You know the song? Warm up with the zumba planned as a warm-up and move your body to the various musical animations you’ll encounter along the way 🎶. Once you’re started, you’ll navigate the climbs and descents as the landscape variety keeps rolling. You wanted a change of scenery, you’ll get it! Your only order during this trail will be to respect nature (as always, it’s a basic rule) 🌾. Your marker will be reusable, all your belongings must be recycled, and if you need to move around, favor carpooling. But you’re also here to Run, so forget the car and enjoy the pure forest air. And even though you’ll surely be out of breath at the beauty of the Parc Naturel du Morvan and its summits 😵. You’ll pass by the Mont Calvaire, no stress, it’s not as scary as it sounds, you’ll actually stay fairly cool in the green understory.

And because you’ll have burned off those calories, you’ll be able after such efforts to treat yourself to local products based on truffles. After an essential visit to Château-Chinon, head toward the lac des Settons, a beautiful calm water point accessible for a few well-deserved swims. 🏊‍♀️
