La Namaqua Quest 3-Day Trail Run est la course par étapes la plus colorée d'Afrique du Sud. Elle se déroule dans la beauté sauvage de Namakwa, pendant la floraison emblématique de la région au début du mois de septembre. Pendant trois jours consécutifs, les coureurs parcourent des itinéraires de 13 km, 15 km et 16 km à travers des terrains contrastés : montagnes riches en cuivre, réserves naturelles regorgeant de gibier et collines granitiques recouvertes de tapis de fleurs sauvages. Chaque étape traverse des terres privées, des réserves animalières et des sentiers miniers historiques, offrant aux athlètes à la fois un défi et un spectacle. Le village de course à l'Okiep Country Hotel sert de centre névralgique pour la récupération, les repas du soir et les diaporamas quotidiens, tandis que la petite communauté locale apporte une énergie formidable. Particularité de cet événement, la course à pied se déroule en parallèle de la course par étapes Namaqua Quest MTB, ce qui en fait un week-end idéal pour les amis ou les familles pratiquant plusieurs disciplines.
