Nattvasan n'est pas seulement une course de ski, c'est un parcours de 90 km à travers le silence et l'obscurité hivernaux, de Berga à Mora, éclairé uniquement par les étoiles, les torches et les lampes frontales. Débutant à 20 h, ce défi nocturne permet aux participants de courir en solo ou en duo, en utilisant la technique classique ou le skating. Le parcours suit la légendaire piste du Vasaloppet, mais avec une touche unique : la nuit le transforme en une expérience exigeante et surréaliste. Limité à 3 000 skieurs, le Nattvasan 90 est l'un des événements les plus difficiles de l'arène du Vasaloppet. En cours de route, seul un soutien de base est fourni aux points de contrôle d'Oxberg, Hökberg et Eldris ; tout le reste doit être transporté. Une version plus courte de 45 km commence à Oxberg, rendant l'événement plus accessible tout en conservant son atmosphère caractéristique. Depuis ses débuts en 2017, Nattvasan est devenu célèbre pour son mélange de courage physique et de solitude magique.
