It's in Menorca that we invite you to drop your bags for a breathtaking race backdrop with the October Trail. Menorca is among the 4 islands, the least visited but often preferred for rejuvenation. The island offers a natural setting with 🌼 preserved flora and a very diverse fauna 🐐, it was also designated a biosphere reserve by the UNESCO in 1993.
As you can tell, these are stunning places you'll have the chance to discover during this beautiful event in October. Yes, as the name suggests, this race takes place *🥁drumroll🥁* in October. As the first chills start to arrive and you bring out your sweaters, the mild and pleasant climate of Menorca will let you run with your legs bare and perhaps your arms in the breeze! 🏃♂️
Ok, now that we've whetted your appetite to taste Menorca's flavors, let us tempt you with the race presentation. On the menu, 3 distances: 11 km, 19 km and 32 km for all levels. Your course will immerse you in the island's nature through wild trails in pine forests 🌲 and along cliffs 🧗♀️ with sweeping views. You can also run on the soft sands of paradisiacal beaches 🏝, admittedly a bit challenging but the setting more than makes up for it. 🏞
The event doesn’t end at the finish line—once you cross it, the party is just getting started 🎉. You’ll find plenty of musical performances 🥁 and a food buffet 🍽 to refuel and celebrate your fantastic run while making the most of the experience.
Menorca is the perfect place to slip away into a paradisiacal interlude in the middle of the Mediterranean. After your race you can stroll along fine-sand beaches and bathe in turquoise waters 🌊. If you’re more in the mood to explore, you can visit the capital of Menorca; Mahon, known as one of the most beautiful towns in the Balearics 😍. Nearby villages are worth a visit too, full of charm and shaded alleyways, a truly paradisiacal backdrop 😍. For food lovers, try local specialties; among the recommended items are the sobrasada 🥓, the local charcuterie, or the Ensaimada 🍰 — a legendary pastry (to be enjoyed in moderation) that will delight your taste buds. 😋
