Join the second edition of the Trail de Brénod in Ain, at the heart of the Jura massif on the mid-mountain plateau. Six races, including the UTMB Qualifier 50K 42 km and the UTMB Qualifier 20K 24 and 16 km, offer breathtaking views and elevation changes of up to 1,500 mD+. Start on the village square in Brénod, a friendly atmosphere and opportunities to recharge with local specialties.
Another great chance to wear the trail colors! 🕺 The second edition of the Trail de Brénod is waiting for you to fire the starting pistol! Brénod, a lovely town in l’Ain, at 900 m above sea level in the heart of the massif du Jura in the Haut-Bugey! ⛰️ The Ski Club Brénod Corcelles bridges winter cross-country skiing with summer trail running! You’re on this lovely plateau of mid-mountain, and you’re only waiting for one thing: to hike like a kid! 👧
To make your dreams come true, the Trail de Brénod offers six trail races. First, there is the 42 km named "Le Maratrail des 3 Clochers", with 1 500 mD+, doable solo or with a partner 👯. This route connects the three iconic villages of the plateau with a 360° view over it 👁️. Next, the 24 km "On the Crusts"", with 1 000 mD+ across four crests often sometimes steep, and above all, breathtaking views of the plateau! 👀 The 16 km "On the Mont Monthoux" , offers views toward the Roche Samuel and the Jorat with its 500m D+. For Sunday sprinters, the 8 km "On the Mont Versoud" is perfect to test your trail spirit without going overboard! 🙌. Not to forget our cool kids favorites who can face off in a 3 km race, "On the Santoux"". For the younger kids, there's a 1.5 km the "Monthoux kids""! 🏃♀️ Note: the course of 42 km is UTMB Qualifier 50K, and the 24 km and 16 km are UTMB Qualifier 20K", a ticket to major global events! 🎟️
The start will be on the village square of Brénod, it won’t be deserted, quite the opposite! 👯♂️ Early in the morning, the beer tent and food stalls (fries, sausages, merguez…) will be ready to welcome you, friendly atmosphere guaranteed! After the effort, you can enjoy the cheese shop to restock on Comté and stay on the Plateau de Retord, because there are plenty of activities waiting for you! 🤠 You can explore on foot or by mountain bike, take a detour to the biathlon stadium of Plans d’Hotonnes biathlon, or visit the chapelle de Retord, a story that gives life to this place! In short, if you want to push yourself (but not too hard), and finish your race with memories galore, the Brénod Trail is your slot 🧚♀️.
