Le semi-marathon et 5 km de Pacific Beach, c'est une course super énergique qui se déroule chaque année dans le quartier emblématique de San Diego, au bord de la mer. Le semi-marathon est un parcours point à point approuvé par l'USATF qui commence au Crown Point Park et finit à quelques pas du sable, sur la promenade animée de Pacific Beach. Les athlètes profitent d'un parcours rapide et pittoresque qui passe par SeaWorld, Hospitality Point et le West Mission Bay Bridge. Le samedi, le 5 km offre un défi unique : 50 % de sable et 50 % de promenade. Grâce au soutien local et à la vue sur l'océan, cette course attire aussi bien les coureurs qui veulent faire de bonnes performances que les athlètes qui aiment la plage. Le Surfside Double Shot Challenge permet aux participants de faire le 5 km et le semi-marathon sur deux jours, ce qui ajoute un peu plus de piment pour les athlètes endurants et les sportifs du dimanche.
