Indeed, when the summer sun’s rays warm your skin and the vacation music starts to resonate in your ears, it’s also the moment for the Palmyre Run to step it up 🍽️, with the organization of two seaside routes. Imagine yourself: you’re enjoying a great day on the sunny beach, a bag of chips in one hand, a cold soda in the other 🥤, then after you’ve finished sunbathing, you’re off for a little run in the evening 🏖️. Ahhh, the dream… Luckily for you, it’s a dream that could really come true 😎. Let us tell you more! ⬇️

The organizers have prepared championship-worthy routes. The courses are smooth, dynamic, and simply stunning 🤩. You’ll be able to chase your PR on reference distances of 5 km and 10 km ⏱️. And because we’ve thought of your well-being, the start will be given at 8:00 PM, after a beach day well spent. Remember to pace yourself during your many racket games 🏸. Plus, you’ll be immersed in the vibe from the very start of the race 😏: it’s a " Square de l'Océan" that you’ll dash from for long minutes of effort 🥵. A name that whistles a sweet coastal melody 🌬️. But hey, there’s no letting the wind carry you once you’re on course. You’ll need resilience and motivation to conquer these trials 💪. And yes, there’s padmyr-acle, to conquer the Palmyre Run you’ll need to train, suffer and sweat 😮‍💨. At the same time, if everyone could win, there’d be little point.

Charente-Maritime, in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, overflows with surprises 🎁. More than the simple inventors of the famous Charentaise ⟨shoe⟩, locals are also credited with Cognac or the Pineau des Charentes. But be careful not to overdo it, as alcohol is dangerous for health ⚠️. Culture, gastronomy or sport, the Charente-Maritime is a district keeping up. But even more locally, you can linger on the Zoo de la Palmyre 🦍. There you’ll find animals from all horizons, from the cute little gray otter to the royal python, including the world’s biggest felines 🦦. And if you remember the name of the 110 species present in the park, we’ll tell you in advance: “ tie a tiger” 🐯. For those who want to get even closer to the big cities: La Rochelle, the true headquarters of the pirates of the era, lies to the north of the department 🏴‍☠️. To drink good rum and sit on a bench overlooking the sea, that’s the best we can offer 🪑. In styles that are more ancient and fortified, you’ll find the towns of Royan a few kilometers south of your starting point, and Saintes to the east. Two towns brimming with old buildings loaded with history 🏛️. Finally, if all you want is simply a good day of rest: head to the Antilles! Well no, not the Caribbean ones 🤦, but the ones in Jonzac. The aquatic complex is highly reputed and you’ll quickly forget any geographic notions 🗺️.
