About this event
Race4Love met les athlètes au défi avec une course de 5 km et une marche de 3 km certifiées au niveau national à travers les rues pittoresques de trois quartiers de Cat Island. Le parcours est officiellement reconnu par le Road Running Technical Council of USA Track & Field, et un chronométrage précis à l'aide de puces garantit des résultats et des classements exacts. Les athlètes s'affrontent pour remporter les honneurs, avec des prix décernés aux deux meilleurs coureurs masculins et féminins. De plus, les trois premiers hommes et femmes de chaque catégorie d'âge reçoivent des médailles pour leur performance. Tous les participants âgés de 9 ans et moins reçoivent une médaille. Race4Love accueille également les athlètes qui souhaitent courir ou marcher avec leur chien. Depuis son lancement, Race4Love a permis de collecter des fonds importants pour soutenir CODA/Hopeful Horizons, qui vient directement en aide aux victimes de violence domestique.
