The Raid du Bugey is back this year with even more kilometers and elevation! 🥁 Oh, you can feel the urge for a new challenge nudging you, right? 🚵‍♂️ If you're curious about what awaits, you're in the right place! First, setting the scene: it’s in Lagnieu, Ain, where the Raid du Bugey is waiting to make you work up a sweat! 🥵 For that, you have a choice between 3 routes: the two cyclosportifs with the veteran who holds the event name "Raid du Bugey" of 130 km and 2 400 mD+ (and yes, we told you this is no joke) ! 💪 If you don’t feel ready to tackle that many kilometers just yet, you can always sign up for the "Portes du Bugey", the gentler option with 80 km and 1 680 mD+ 🤙. For hikers at the event, there’s the "Rando Découverte du Bugey" with 50 km and 665 mD+ 🚵‍♀️.

Now that we’ve surely piqued your curiosity, let us tell you about the surroundings 🍃. Among the cols you’ll climb, like the Col des Fossés (745 m) or the Col de Fay (680 m) you’ll get breathtaking views of the Rhône from the top of the Col de Portes (1 001 m) ⛰️. These banks bordered by Ain’s beautiful nature will be at your disposal! 👀 This might even give you a bit of courage for the rest of the race 🔋. Oh, and another major motivation—the Raid du Bugey is a charitable event ⭐. The association "Déchaîne ton cœur" is raising funds in 2025 to support research on pediatric cancers 🙌. All proceeds go to a team of Lyon-based researchers 🧑‍⚕️. So, ready to roll to help move things forward? 👏

Take advantage of your time in the area to discover some local activities like a stroll through the Parc des Oiseaux in Villars-les-Dombes 🐦, perfect for a family outing.
