Mettez votre endurance et votre force mentale à l'épreuve lors du Railroad Reckoning, un défi du type « dernier debout » organisé dans le centre-ville de Birmingham, en Alabama, au Railroad Park. Les athlètes s'attaquent à une boucle de 0,78 mile, tout en faisant face à des contraintes de temps de plus en plus strictes : à chaque tour, le temps limite diminue de 10 secondes, en partant d'un temps de 12 minutes. La course se poursuit jusqu'à ce qu'il ne reste plus qu'un seul coureur capable de tenir le rythme. Les participants bénéficient d’un point de ravitaillement bien approvisionné, d’un t-shirt personnalisé de l’événement, d’un certificat commémorant la distance totale parcourue, et des récompenses attendent les trois premiers hommes et les trois premières femmes. L’intégralité des recettes est reversée au Freshwater Land Trust, qui soutient la conservation des terres et l’aménagement de sentiers.
