Rajat Run

Next June, you’re meeting at the Rajat Castle! 🏰 Nestled to the west of Lyon in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, the Rajat Run will treat you to an exquisite moment, in every sense of the word 😋. Forget the climbs that crush your knees; here we offer a 13 km with a cute 300 mD+ all lovely 🥰. Start and finish are right in the magnificent Rajat Park, which instantly gives a royal feel to your stride, even if your face will probably be less princely after a few kilometers 💦.

The course is a concentrated dose of nature that takes you trotting through Saint-Pierre-de-Chandieu, with a refreshing stretch along the Ozon River💧. It’s terrain perfectly suited for pure running enthusiasts: rolling, green, and smelling of fresh grass 🌿. But beware, the Rajat Run is also (and especially) about post-race! 🥳 Once you cross the line, there’s no sneaking off ❌. The vibe is ultra-friendly with a drinking area and some food service to refuel 🏅. While you relive the race with your friends, you can even try the wooden games provided 🪵. It’s the perfect chance to test whether your focus stayed on the course or if you can aim true after 13 miles of effort 🤣. In short, it’s the winning combo of performance, pleasure and unbridled laughter under the June sun 🌞.

Since you’re already on site, take some time to wander the Parc de Rajat 🌳. It’s a verdant haven of 20 hectares with a château that’s seriously impressive 🤩. For a calmer vibe, the banks of the Ozon offer shaded trails perfect for a recovery stroll, away from the crowds 🧘. If you have a car, head to the medieval town of Crémieu just 20 minutes away: it’s one of the region’s most beautiful villages, with 15th-century halls that will transport you back in time ⏳. For the gastronomy, you’re in the land of the Est Lyonnais, so don’t hold back with your fork! Of course, the Rajat Run drink station is your first mandatory stop 🫵. But if you want to level up, look for a place serving Lyonnais specialties: a good saucisson brioche or a tablier de sapeur for the boldest. June is also peak season for red fruits in the nearby Rhône Valley, so keep an eye out for the tarts with pralines (sure, it’s pink sugar, but it’s part of the heritage!) or the stalls of local strawberries 🍓.
