Trail du Mont Dardon

For its 4th edition, the event formerly known as "Running Between Arroux and Dardon", returns under the name Le Trail du Mont Dardon ! 😎 It is in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, in Gueugnon, in the Saône-et-Loire, that your ascent of the Mont Dardon ⛰️ will take place. Team or solo, with children, during early morning or a hike, the Trail du Mont Dardon, has kept its character as a popular, friendly and accessible to all ! 🤗 In addition to offering you a human experience 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 around sport for a day, the event will lead you along courses of trail with breathtaking views 🤯 in the heart 💚 of a mountain environment mountainous 🏔️. It's in the exceptional setting of eastern France and north of Lyon that you're expected for the start of this race organized by the CALG (Club Allure Libre Gueugnon) ! 🧭

Starting from the park of Vendenesse-sur-Arroux 🌳, two trail distances of 12 km and 27 km, plus a 11 km hike, will be offered 🤓. Two kids' routes will also be available so that the younger ones 🧒 can get a taste of running ! 🏃 But let's return to the main trails 😉. Let's start with "The Grand Dardon", the most demanding trail of the event with its 27 km and 850 mD+ 😅. Although the courses remain secret 🤫 and we can't tell you much about what you'll see as you run, we can still guarantee you a 360° view, overlooking the majestic Morvan range and plunging into the valley of the Arroux 😍. Not bad as a little hint of what awaits you, right ? 😏 The little brother of this event, "The Petit Dardon", will not take you to the summit of the Dardon ⬆️ with its 12 km and 300 mD+, but it will let you discover the ruins of the Rochefort Castle 🏰, dating roughly from the 12th century ⚔️. If running isn't your thing 🐎, you can still opt for the "Rando Trail La Pêcherette" of 11 km and 300 mD+, which lets you enjoy the surrounding nature 🌿 at your own pace! 🚶If you remember, we told you about a team race 👀. It's the "Trailloux Team Challenge" ! 🏆 This unique experience will let you, with your partner 🧑‍🤝‍🧑, tackle the two trail routes: one on the 27 km, and the other on the 12 km! This lets you share your passion 🔥 while enjoying the forests of pines 🌲, hazels, oaks or gorse with other runners 😁. The duos can be mixed or women-only, which will award more points in the standings! 😜

As the organizers have everything planned, the festivities will continue after your race! 🥳 You can refuel at the refreshment stand with a snack 🌭 or a meal platter 🍽️ which you must reserve at the time of registration 😊. If you're still hungry after that 🤤, you can always go savor a delicious Bresse chicken 🍗 at one of the local terroir restaurants near the Mont Dardon 😋.
