Villié-Morgon hosts Beaujol'Trail Morgon, the 5th stage of the Trail Tour Beaujolais, in May in the enchanting Beaujolais setting. Choose from 4 courses: 10 km, 18 km (duos possible), 32 km and an 8 km hike, with climbs up to 1,310 m D+ for the Maxi BTM. After the effort, tasting and a friendly atmosphere at the village, in the heart of the wine-growing lands and Morgon’s cellars.
Need to recharge on the lands of the Beaujolais in the heart of May? 🥰 Then come enjoy the spring colors 🌷 in the Beaujol'Trail Morgon! 5th stage of Trail Tour Beaujolais, a must-attend in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in Villié-Morgon, right in the heart 💚 of the Rhône! 😉 Seasoned trail runners, beginners in the discipline, or even walkers, you’ll surely find a challenge to take on 💪. You’ll get the chance to tread on trail through lush nature, across the vineyards and the Morgon cellars. Indeed, this race truly lives up to its name! 😆 The municipality of Villié-Morgon is covered by the designation "Morgon", one of the many red wines of the Beaujolais 🤓. But before you can taste, we’ll tell you more about the events you’ll face! 👇
Starting from a lively village 🎉, you’ll have a choice between 4 different routes : a trail of 10 km, of 18 km, of 32 km, or a hike of 8 km 🥾. There will be quite a bit of ascent/descent on the program so start training now! 🥵 For the "Maxi BTM" of 32 km, count no less than 1 310 mD+ (yes, just that 😅), 650 mD+ for the "Mini BTM" of 18 km and 210 mD+ for the "Cru Morgon" of 10 km. Additionally, given its maxi parcours, the "Maxi BTM" awards 2 ITRA points to any finisher! 🏁 But that’s not all! 😁 It’s also part of the category Maxi Trail Tour of the Trail Tour Beaujolais challenge. Its little brother, the "Mini BTM", on the other hand, places in the "Mini Trail Tour" category of the challenge 😌. If you don’t want to embark on the adventure alone 🗺️, organizers have also thought of you by making the 18 km accessible to duos! 🧑🤝🧑 Kids will also be invited, as they will have their own race of 2 km.
As you can see, it’s a festive ambiance 🥳 waiting at the finish line in the heart of the village 🏘️, after proudly threading the blooming trails of spring 💐. The warmth of volunteers 👨👩👧👦 makes this event a must-attend of your trail season! 🏃 On top of that, we almost forgot the wine tasting of Morgon! 🫢 Yes, after your race, you can head to a tasting workshop right on the production lands 🍷. A chance to taste the fruits of the vines you’ve watched throughout your course! 🍇
