In September, you’ll find yourself in Jaure, right in the heart of Dordogne in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The plan is simple: you and a partner take on a trail of 19.5 km ⚡️. This sporty and festive event holds plenty of surprises. Ready to discover them? Come on, we’re taking you to the relay with the guys 🤝. And spoiler: you’re not required to bring a friend; it could be your brother, your cousin, your grandfather...👴 And as Denis Brogniart would say : at the end… There’ll be Denis Brogniart only two left! 2️⃣

A few kilometers from Périgueux, a small village of 171 inhabitants is about to host a fantastic event: the relay with the guys 🔥. To understand the concept, you don’t need 5 years of study 🤓. Take a friend, your legs and one goal: participate (or win if you’ve got a competitive spirit 😎). The event offers two loops 🔁 (one for you, one for your teammate). The first loop is 8.7 km and the second 10.8 km. Once registered, you just need to decide who does the bigger loop between you two 😇. The upside is that the first relay runner starts at 19:00, in the cool September evenings 💦. This race is the best way to restart some sport for the fall after a summer that was well wet deserved 🍾. In short: you run, hand the baton to your buddy, you cross the finish line together, and you share a great moment! 🫂 If you’re a spectator and want a laugh, we recommend staying at the end of the first loop, near the baton handoff 😆. Why? Well because the most whimsical baton will be rewarded 👏. Start thinking now about the most unique item you can bring from home if you want to win 🌂. Picture tossing your friend on the final loop by handing them a apron, your mom’s old statuette, or even a 18 V XR drill/driver 5 (yes, it’s very precise) 👷. Plus, with each registration, €3 goes to the Vaincre la Muco association, here’s a good reason to grab a bib! 🫶 At the end of your race, a meal is on us 🤤. Menu: vegetable soup, duck shepherd’s pie, cheeses and tart 🥧. Rest assured, this feast isn’t to be finished in a relay, you’ll be able to stuff yourself without sharing 😈.

Ôla unfortunate ! Don’t leave without checking out the area ✋. A few kilometers from Jaure, you can visit Périgueux certified as an art and history town and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site 💐. You can also climb onto the roof of the Saint-Front Cathedral to admire Périgueux from above ⬆️. If you enjoy stepping into the past, head to the Musée d’Art et d’Archéologie du Périgord rich in history 🏛️. Then, settle into a local restaurant and savor typical Dordogne dishes of the Dordogne cuisine. Chabrot, brouillade, farcidures, l’agneau du Périgord, cabécou...you’ll be spoiled for choice! 😋
