Le Salute to Service, organisé par Tidewater Striders et le service des parcs et loisirs de la ville de Suffolk, rend hommage à ceux qui ont servi dans l'armée. Il comprend une course principale et une course pour enfants, toutes deux organisées dans le centre-ville de Suffolk sur un parcours rapide et plat. Les participants reçoivent un t-shirt et une médaille, ainsi que des rafraîchissements et une after-party avec musique et nourriture. Des récompenses sont décernées aux vainqueurs du classement général et par catégorie d'âge, et une compétition par équipe militaire est également organisée.
