Le Seaside Strides 5K propose un parcours chronométré par des professionnels, idéal pour les athlètes qui souhaitent établir de nouveaux records personnels. Les recettes dépassant les frais de la course sont reversées à Seaside Travels, une organisation à but non lucratif qui vient en aide aux enfants ayant des besoins spéciaux et des problèmes de santé dans les comtés de Lee et Collier. Les athlètes sont encouragés à courir en costume, afin d'apporter une touche festive à la course. Compétition pour les honneurs : les catégories masculine/féminine, masters, grands masters et grands masters seniors sont toutes récompensées par des prix distinctifs, avec une reconnaissance supplémentaire pour plusieurs groupes d'âge. Les premiers inscrits recevront un t-shirt « Seaside Strides 5K » de qualité supérieure. Les jeunes athlètes peuvent se joindre à l'action avec la mini-course/marche Spooky Strides.
