In Messigny-et-Vantoux, in the heart of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the Transmontagne Trails du Suzon offers four trail routes along the landscapes of the Val Suzon Nature Reserve. From 11 km to 44 km, with elevations up to 1140 m, the program blends forests, streams, and panoramas for all levels, including a night race to start with headlamps.
You’ve surely heard of cross-border races 🌍, but you’ve probably never heard of the Transmontagne ? ⛰️ Well, that’s perfect, because we’re taking you into the heart of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté nature 🌳, to Messigny-et-Vantoux 🏘️. The Transmontagne Trails of the Suzon are waiting for you at the end of September for its 3rd edition ! With its four trail routes 🏃♀️➡️, you’ll embark on an adventure in the Val Suzon Nature Reserve, a pristine haven away from human activity! 🍃 Forests, streams, cliffs 🏞️, you won’t know where to look 🤩. Watch out not to lose your breath when you see the valley panoramas, you might need it for the rest of the course! 😅
By the way, let’s talk about these routes! 🤓 What kind of meal are you in for? 🤔 Whether it’s your first time putting on a bib or you’re a seasoned trail runner 💪, you’ll find plenty to feast on! 🤤 Long or short trail, there’s something for everyone! 🤗 Let’s start with the light bites: the "Trail de la Roche" in 11 km and 285 mD+. A bit more substantial to digest, the "Semi de Jouvence" offers 21 km and a gulp of 592 mD+ 🫠. The "Trail du Suzon", meanwhile, will serve as the main course 🍽️ with its 31 km and 887 mD+ ! And to finish the meal on a light note 🤌, how about the 44 km and 1 140 mD+ ? 🙈 This is the challenge the "Maratrail of Côte d'Or"! Plus, to convince you, what could be better than a night start by headlamp light? 💡 Small or big eater, everyone will cross the finish line full! 😴
