Marathon d’Auxerre et ses Terroirs

Here we go for the Marathon of Auxerre and its Terroirs! It will take place in the region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and offers four distances: 7.5 km, 13 km, a half marathon and a marathon 🏃‍♀️. Plenty to thrill road racing lovers of all levels! 😬

The race takes you and your friends through all the sites historic and natural of Auxerre 🤌. You’ll even be able to taste some local products at the refreshment stations… 😋 But you won’t want to linger, time is ticking! ⏱️ Also, an event village with activities, music 🎵, tastings and services for participants will be set up for the occasion 🎪. A challenge that smells of meetings and joy! With this race, you’ll discover Auxerre, a “city of art and history”, the banks of the Yonne, public parks of the city, the football club of the AJ Auxerre ⚽️, the village of Escolives-Sainte-Camille... 😯 You’ll explore the medieval and Gallo-Roman heritage of the town, its half-timbered houses, and discover the Gothic Saint-Étienne Cathedralas well as the vineyards 🍇, castles, forests and gentle hills... You got it: this race is a fabulous blend of city, heritage, history and nature ! 🤩

The advantage of these races that offer a nice range of distances is that you can bring people along. Especially since the time of year is great for outings! ☀️ Rest assured: you’ll have more than enough to make up for it after the race, whether you decide to stay in Auxerre or wander a bit in the department of the Yonne. If you’d rather, if you love painting, you can head to the Zervos Museum, named after Christian Zervos, art critic, editor and friend of painters 🎨.
