Semi-Marathon de Bizerte

Weird, you’re still not registered 🤔. Yet the Tunisia isn’t just about sipping a good mint tea 🍵, but about taking the start of your next half-marathon 🏃. After that you can always treat yourself to one after your achievement 🫢.

If you hadn’t kept up, the Running Club Bizerte sports association, organizes the second edition of the Semi Marathon of Bizerte 😆, after a first edition that was very successful and appreciated by everyone 💐 ! With a course that alternates between sea and city, Bizerte is a beautiful destination to challenge yourself 🌆. Anyway, whether you come from Tunisia or from farther away, a race is a race! 😋 We know it’s not an easy distance, but to have more motivation, they didn’t forget their biggest cheerleader : the mascot Delfino 🐬. So no need to panic, she’ll be there to cheer you on, from start to finish 🏁, just like the many volunteers involved 🌷. Plus in May the sun rises early. And you’ll say that’s great because the start is at 8am, so better be on time! If the half-marathons aren’t your thing yet (we hope soon 🙃), there’s also a 5 km. Not to mention the kids, who also deserve a unique course! 👶

Apparently, we estimate that less than 1% of the world population runs a half! 😳 So we know that 21.0975 km, already very precise, but also a great challenge 🔥. With a rigorous and well-executed training, by coming to Bizerte, you might be the next Jacob Kiplimo 💪. 56 minutes 42 seconds, is that doable? Either way we wish you the best! But it is also a pleasure run 💖, so yes the clock at the end is cool, but the most important thing is that you enjoy your race! ⭐️ If you prefer shorter challenges, the 5 km that’s offered comes up ! ⛏️ Pure fun, joy and a challenge. In short, it’s great to run and perform as an adult, but time flies fast 🕦. What about the future and the next generation of athletes ? 🤓 No worries, with a kids’ race of 1 km, all future runners will be ahead of you! 🤪 Try to bet on and spot the next running star, it might be in front of you! 👀

Setting off in this country, there’s no need to fear frustration—the scenery is rarely disappointing ! 🏞️ Just looking at Bizerte, you’ll find a city full of history 📚. With the old port, the beach or the beauty of the city, you’ll have plenty to admire its specialties 📍. But know also that Tunis, the capital of the country, is only a 1h drive 🚗. The city hosts a medina that is a must-see (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site), museumsand quaint alleyways 🤌. In terms of extra activities, we guarantee you’ll be well taken care of and you won’t regret the side trip the detour ✈️. But in Arab countries, we also don’t forget the gastronomy : couscous 🍲, brick, chakchouka, Lablabi, Baklava… 🥜 You’ll have plenty to recover well after your run! 😋
