Semi-Marathon de Feurs

All this is boosted by locals cheering from the ef-feur-vescence along the roadside 👏. By the way, do you know what the residents of Feurs are called? Well, they’re the Foréziens! You know the drill: Feufeur, if you’re a champ, hit the gas! 🍄 This race is one of the fastest in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, so you’ll be able to beat your PR and roll like Usain Bolt for a day ⚡️. If you want to test yourself against past records, know that the first man in the semi ran in 1h 05’ 35" and the first woman in 1h 13' 15" 🤯. The event also offers a 10 km, with records of 29’ 47" 👨 and 34' 31" 👩. You’re more than capable of reaching the podium, we’re sure 🥇. Both races are officially measured, labeled by the FFA, and qualifying for the French Championships 🇫🇷. The half is also a support race for the Loire Championship of the specialty 😍. As you’ve guessed, all conditions are in place to achieve a reference time 🫡. You’ll run two steps from the royal river, when winter fades and gives way to the first spring sunshine 🌞. You’ll enjoy a mild weather and fully resurfaced roads with no major direction changes 🧭, a setting very conducive to performance. On the course side, nature welcomes you with open arms! 🫂 The route passes from the l’étang Neuf to l’étang du Désert, passing by the Motasse and des Gouttes. To pace your effort and stay motivated, every kilometer is marked ✍️. It might seem small, but it’s good for morale as the saying goes, the Compagnie Créole 🙃. Don’t panic ✋. We’ve been talking about performance, but that’s not the main feature of the event! 😮‍💨 You can absolutely come push your limits without aiming for a chrono 🫶.

And because recovery matters, you’ll be able to sit by the edge of the pond of your choice 💧, lay out a nice checkered picnic blanket, and bring out a fine platter of local charcuterie sprinkled with slices d’andouille de Charlieu 🐷.
