Semi-Marathon de la Vente des Vins des Hospices de Beaune

You want a popular race, a historic route, plenty of participants and a cosmopolitan crowd? Great news, fellow Finisher, we’ve got you covered! Set your sights on the most famous vineyards in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté 🍷. Beaune, in the heart of the Côte d’Or department, is a genuine architectural jewel that hosts in November the Wine Auction Half Marathon of the Hospices de Beaune.

There’s something for everyone, including for the man's best friend 🐶. So, the organizers offer you three distances with the cani-cross from 6 km, the 10.4 km and the half marathon, the two last events being reserved for humanoid bipeds 😂. If, besides your pup, you come with your offspring, you’ll be able to enter them into specially designed races. If timing isn’t your thing, you can also join a hike or a sunset run the night before the big start. Discovering Beaune in a cozy, intimate atmosphere is a highlight for exploring the city center and its riches.

As for the half marathon, you’ll start your route right beside the famous Hospices de Beaune 🏥. Then, you’ll run along the rolling streets of the Vineyards of the Côte de Beaune 🍇. Next, you’ll pass through renowned Burgundy villages like Pommard, Meursault and Volnay. To ease your stride, you’ll hear the music groups along the course. There will be entertainment and tastings of the local products throughout the race, but you must finish your journey before enjoying them! 😌 Be careful, alcohol is dangerous to health, to be consumed in moderation ⚠️.

In addition to the wines you won’t want to miss, the escargots and the bread spiced are must-haves of this region. So after crossing the line, sit down at a local restaurant and take time to taste it all 🍽️.
