On the Isle of Beauty, the Porto-Vecchio half marathon offers an immersion in Corsican landscapes during the All Saints' Day holidays. Three distances and a 8 km walk, with varying starts: the marathon from Lecci and the 10 km/1 walk from the large Palombaggia beach, ending in Santa Giulia Bay. A course between sea, beach and nature, for all levels.
When you discover Corsica, it’s hard to let it go. It’s even truer for Porto-Vecchio, in Corsica’s South, with its sensational landscapes, paradise beaches, lush cascades, and a port that’s so charming. So if you happen to be on the Island of Beauty during All Saints’ Day holidays, rediscover all of these wonders during the Porto-Vecchio marathon or half marathon. Bonus: the temperatures will be mild but not oppressive. 🌡
This event features three distances and an 8km walk. A 10K, a half marathon, and a marathon for the races: there’s something for everyone. Two different starts depending on the course: the marathon starts in the commune of Lecci, while the 10K and the walk start on the long Palombaggia Beach (you’d rather do the 10K than the half now, admit it!). By the way, don’t hesitate to relax on this same beach or soak up the sun if the weather allows, it’s one of the island’s finest spots! 🏖
If you decide to go for the marathon or the half, rest assured: the scenery will be just as spectacular. This is Corsica, everything is beautiful, everything is sublime! The marathon passes through St Cyprian Beach (also very beautiful) and the Marina di Fiori cove. For the half marathon, you’ll start from the Port of Porto Vecchio 🛳 but the rest of the route will be the same as the longer race. All finishes will be in the Santa Giulia Bay. Also, don’t hesitate to explore this little slice of paradise after you finish.
The Porto-Vecchio Marathon, it’s 42.195km of grandiose running: immersive landscapes, breathtaking scenery, sea views, and above all the colors of Corsica as a giant canvas. The gold of the beaches, the turquoise of the water, the green of the surrounding nature… An explosion of color! 🎨
Despite the lactic acid that will have invaded your quads, you’ll want to stay on this wonderful island, this marvelous island. So if you want to discover a maximum of local culture, sit back on a terrace and savor a Brocciu doughnut, a slice of Fiadone or the famous Canistrelli.
