Have you always wanted to make history? ☺️ Then I think we have THE race for you... 🧏‍♂️ The Marakez Pyramid Half Marathon, does that speak to you? Running amidst the Pyramids of Giza, what an extraordinary experience! 🔼 The pyramids have been World Heritage since 1979 📜, to give you a little idea of the luck this race offers you! 🤩 This year, it will mark the sixth edition and it will take place in mid-December ❄️. Rest assured, in Egypt in December winter is fairly mild 🥵, temperatures rarely drop below ten degrees Celsius 🌡️, ideal for running! 🏃‍♀️ The organizers even offer two other distances, a 5 km as well as a 10 km so everyone can participate in this grand event 🫶.

The Marakez Pyramid Half Marathon is a race certified by the AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races), it’s top tier, proving the quality of this event! ✅ At the same time, it’s not every day you race near the last ancient wonder of the world 😉. The Pyramids of Giza are a true architectural feat that testifies to the strength of the past ⏳. Now it’s your turn to achieve a feat, but this time athletic 🏋️. For information, the route of the semi-marathon isn’t exactly flat ↗️, especially toward the end of the course, after the descent toward the Sphinx, so save some energy in your legs 🦵. The same goes for the 10 km which isn’t particularly flat, adding a bit of challenge to your experience 🫡. On a race like this, try not to keep your eyes fixed on your time. Look up to admire these beautiful, tall pyramids dating back 4,500 years—it's a real time-travel journey that the association TriFactory leads with the project! 🛸

And speaking of time travel, we can also talk about a journey to the "Land of the Pharaohs", because there are a ton of things to see in Egypt! 🇪🇬 First, we recommend taking the time to visit places you’ve so far only admired from the outside 😍. In some cases, you can even go inside certain pyramids! 😮 Then, you can head to the Sphinx Museum to be unbeatable in your historical knowledge 👨‍🎓. Finally, for something lighter, you can visit the village of Nazlet el-Samman 👀. This will bring you closer to locals and local traditions 😋.
