About this event
The La Rochelle Half Marathon invites you to run in the heart of the city perched by the ocean, on a route entirely on paved roads that runs along the Vieux Port, the Charruyer Park, and the Mail avenues. Two distances are offered: the half marathon and the 5 km, the first of which can be run in a relay and carries the FFA silver label, while the second carries the bronze label. This event also hosts the French Championship for Firefighters, in a remarkable urban and maritime setting in La Rochelle.
Entendons-nous bien ! Nul besoin d’une course pour partir à la découverte de La Rochelle, une ville si agréable, bordée par l’océan 🌊 et qui offre des spots sensationnels, peu importe tes envies 😃. Mais si tu as en plus l’occasion de courir sur le Semi-Marathon de la Rochelle avec les températures agréables 🌡️ du mois de mars, tu ne dirais pas non ? 👀 Viens runner dans cette ville de Charente-Maritime, tu verras, tes souvenirs seront gravés dans la Rochelle ! 🪨 Deux distances sont proposées pour ce rendez-vous en Nouvelle-Aquitaine : un semi-marathon et un 5 km ! 👍 Le semi-marathon est aussi proposé en relais à deux 😉.
C’est un parcours entièrement sur routes bitumées qui t’attend 🛣️. Ça t’inquiète ? Tu penses que ce ne sera pas très sympathique ? Détrompe-toi ! C’est en ville que tu vas courir et l’intérêt de l’épreuve est bien là. Grâce à cette visite concoctée par les organisateurs, tu pourras découvrir tous les endroits notables de la cité 🗽. Tu vas longer le Vieux Port (mais pas celui de Marseille), traverser le parc Charruyer 🌳, celui de Franck Delmas avant de te diriger vers les allées du mail 📩. Mais ce n’est pas tout ! Tu auras aussi la chance d’admirer la Baie du Port Neuf 🤩. Un événement remarquable par son environnement donc, mais aussi pour son côté sportif tout de même 😅 : il est à noter que ce semi-marathon possède le label argent de la FFA 🇫🇷, tout comme le 5 km possède le label bronze 🥉. Cette année, le Semi-Marathon de La Rochelle est même support pour le Championnat de France des Sapeurs-Pompiers 🧑🚒.
On le sait déjà, après la course, tu vas rester dans le coin pour profiter de cette ville où il fait bon vivre 🥰. En mars, il fera peut-être encore un petit peu frais 🥶 pour la baignade 🏊🏼♂️, mais pourquoi ne pas tenter de piquer une tête ? 😂 Côté visite, La Rochelle, surnommée la ville blanche par les Anglais 🇬🇧, regorge de surprises 🎁. On te conseille d'aller contempler les tours de la Rochelle, de visiter la Cathédrale Saint-Louis ou encore le musée Bunker. Pour un périple un peu plus aventureux, fais un détour vers les villages alentour entre décors typiques et océan Atlantique. Dépaysement total garanti ! 😎 Après ça, installe-toi en terrasse avec vue sur le port ⛴️. Autant ne rien se refuser, surtout pour déguster quelques pavés de la Rochelle ou encore la véritable galette charentaise ! 😋
