In the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and in spring, the Senpereko Trail invites you to Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle (near Saint-Jean-de-Luz) for a weekend of running. Four varied distances — 10, 21, 42 and 80 km — offer elevations ranging from 330 m to 5600 m, with panoramas over the Nivelle valley, the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, and the Rhune massif. Courses between Ibarron, Suhalmendi, and the redoutes promise a challenge and spectacular Basque scenery.
Les Pyrénées-Atlantiques pour un bon run en plein mois de mars pour célébrer le retour du printemps 💐, c’est un beau programme en perspective ! Alors direction Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle, dans la région Nouvelle-Aquitaine pour le Senpereko Trail, avec en plus, quelques détours en Espagne. Sí Señor ! 💁
Que tu sois un coureur novice ou chevronné, il y a l’embarras du choix pour cet événement. En effet, les organisateurs te proposent quatre distances, du plus tranquille au plus costaud : 10 km, 21 km, 42 km et 80 km.
L’« Ibar Run Trail » de 10 km a un dénivelé positif de 330 m. Il t’offrira l’opportunité d’observer un panorama extraordinaire donnant sur toute la vallée de la Nivelle ainsi que sur la baie de Saint-Jean-de-Luz 🤩. Mais pour cela, tu devras dominer la Sainte-Barbe à 185 m d’altitude.
Le « Senpereko Trail » de 21 km et 1050 mD+ consiste en une boucle autour du fronton du quartier Ibarron à Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle 👌. Le point culminant de ton parcours change par rapport à l’épreuve de 10 km puisqu’il s’agit du Suhalmendi, à 300 m d’altitude.
Le « Gotorlekuen Itzulia » de 42 km et ses 2800 m de dénivelé positif te permettra d’arpenter les redoutables redoutes 😈 sur un parcours qui t’embarquera d’Ibarron à la Rhune.
Enfin, pour les Finishers les plus vaillants , le « Tontorrez Tontor » de 80 km et le dénivelé positif vertigineux de 5600 m, te fera découvrir de très nombreux sommets basques ⛰️, et notamment le massif de la Rhune, dont le point culminant est situé à 885 m d’altitude.
On sait qu’après la course, tu n’auras aucun mal à trouver une occupation ! Visiter le Pays basque, c’est magique et les paysages magnifiques ne manquent pas, tout comme les plats emblématiques 😋. Comme par exemple, le poulet basquaise 🍗, l’Ossau-Iraty 🧀 et le gâteau basque. 🥧
