Le Sigtuna Stadslopp est une course sur route communautaire organisée par le Lions Club Sigtuna, dont tous les profits sont reversés à des projets caritatifs en Suède et à l'étranger. Depuis sa création en 2007, la course attire chaque année entre 400 et 700 participants et a permis de récolter plus de 1,1 million de couronnes suédoises pour des causes telles que des initiatives éducatives au Kenya et l'aide humanitaire en Ukraine.
La course propose des distances adaptées à tous les niveaux : courses de 5 km et 10 km pour les adultes et les jeunes, courses plus courtes pour les enfants et une marche de 5 km ouverte aux participants avec poussettes, animaux de compagnie ou simplement à ceux qui préfèrent profiter du parcours à un rythme plus tranquille.
Le parcours serpente à travers les rues historiques de Sigtuna, la plus ancienne ville de Suède, avec une vue imprenable sur le lac Mälaren et des monuments médiévaux qui offrent un cadre unique à la compétition. Une foule locale enthousiaste, une ambiance familiale et des catégories de course inclusives en font un événement exceptionnel où chaque foulée contribue également à une œuvre caritative significative.
