Le semi-marathon, 10 miles, 12 km et 5 km Silver Strand invite les participants à courir le long de la Silver Strand Highway fermée à la circulation, avec vue sur l'océan Pacifique et la baie de San Diego, pour finir à Silver Strand State Beach. L'événement propose de la musique live, des animations avec des percussionnistes et un DJ, ainsi qu'une fête sur la plage après la course avec un groupe live et un jardin à bière. Les bénéfices sont reversés à la Life Sports Foundation, à la Team Hoyt et à l'Islander Sports Foundation. Des tarifs préférentiels sont proposés aux militaires et aux premiers intervenants sur présentation d'une pièce d'identité valide. Le parcours s'étend de Coronado à Imperial Beach, l'île de Coronado étant reliée au centre-ville de San Diego par un pont.
