La course « Race for the Rescues » (5 km) : courez ou marchez avec votre chien est la plus grande collecte de fonds organisée par la SNIPSA, visant à sensibiliser le public à la cause des animaux sans abri. Elle propose un parcours adapté aux animaux de compagnie, au départ de la piscine d'Alamo Heights à San Antonio, permettant aux participants de courir ou de marcher individuellement, avec leur chien, ou en équipe. Les recettes servent à financer les campagnes communautaires de stérilisation et les soins vétérinaires pour les animaux sauvés. Les inscriptions en équipe sont possibles, et des récompenses seront remises en fonction des catégories de performance.
