Yes, that’s the goal of the race Soli’run, which offers you 2 race distances, a 5 km and a 10 km, a 4 km nature and fun walk, and 2 children’s races of 1 km and 2 km. Organized by volunteers by the Rotary for now 15 years, with all event proceeds donated to the association Habitat et Humanisme Ile-de-France 🤝. The objective is to help fund new solidarity projects to combat bad housing and to support the development of assistance initiatives. So mark your calendar for March 2027 📆, in Île-de-France, just west of the French capital 🇨🇵 (Paris, if you hadn’t figured that out 😉), for this solidarity event in the heart of the bois de Boulogne 🌲. So far, 760 000 € has already been raised since its inception and has helped many people in need ❤️. For those who can’t attend, both races can also be done in a connected format (remotely)⌚️.
The courses wind through the paths of Bois de Boulogne 🌳 and the historic forest of Rouvray, now one of Paris’ lungs. Did you know? 🤓 It is twice the size of the Central Park in New York! 😮 All starts will be near the Soli’Run Village, ahead of the group warm-up sessions. These sessions will be led by a professional coach! 💪 The village will also pamper you with free osteopathy provided before or after your run 💆♀️. If you also want to capture your Soli’Run moment, aphotocall will be set up in a tent 📸 for great photos with family or friends! 😋 There will also be makeup workshops on site 💄, where kids (and adults too) can unleash their creativity 🎨. We want to see lions 🦁, butterflies 🦋, and princesses! For children of runners who are too young to follow their parents’ steps, a free childcare is provided in the Village.
Additionally, a major collection is organized in support of the association Citizen CareYou can bring on race day one or more hygiene products listed on this page. These will be collected to form hygiene kits which will then be distributed to partner organizations that will benefit those most in need ❤️🩹.
