🔊 Info alert:

"Forget the classic trails and the races where you just "run a little". The SoliMada Trail, it’s the challenge you need! 106 km of walking or 124 km of trail, spread over 6 stages and 12 days, in three ranges of southern Madagascar, where the landscapes will make you feel as small as a grain of rice in an ocean" 🎙️.

Yes, this is a direct message! 🇲🇬 But don’t panic, every step will bring you closer not only to the finish line but also to an unforgettable moment where you can tell yourself: "I did it" 🏁. Well, as you’ve guessed, if you decide to run, it’s still 124 km waiting for you! 🤯 OK, you can rest easy right away, the 12 days planned to go, will really do you good! ✌️ It’s time to describe the 6 stages :

  • First stage 1️⃣ : Runners will cover 21 km for 850 mD+ , while walkers will set off for 15 km and 460 mD+ 📍. It’s a mid-mountain stage on the Ibity Massif ⛰️.
  • Second stage 2️⃣ : For our trail friends, there will be 22 km and 1 100 mD+, while our walkers tackle another 15 km and 700 mD+ 🔥. A beautiful walk in the Zafimaniry country classed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site 👑.
  • Third stage 3️⃣ : This time both runners and walkers share the same footing ⚖️ : 19 km and 650 mD+ for everyone! The scenery will be stunning 😍, you’ll pass through rice paddies, in the heart of the Zomandao valley 🏞️.
  • Fourth stage 4️⃣ : You enter the Andringitra National Park and since you’re in the mountains... no shortcuts 😉. You’ll cover 20 km for 800 mD+ 😌.
  • Fifth stage 5️⃣ : we hope your legs are still holding up! 🦵 Walkers will be pushed hard, they’ll need to complete 24 km and 850 mD+ but with a surprise: a great descent of 2 000 mD- 😅. Runners will cover 29 km for 900 mD+ and 2 000 mD- in the Tsaranoro valley 🌿 with a stop at the second summit of Madagascar at 2 659 m altitude : the Pic Boby 🔝.
  • The final stage, the sixth 6️⃣ before returning to reality! 🌆 The best and, above all, the smallest to finish, whatever you do you’ll have 13 km and 550 mD+ to run/walk before heading home! 🗺️

Of course, all of this wouldn’t be as fun if we didn’t add a little touch of solidarity 🌐. By signing up for the SoliMada Trail, you’re not just running for yourself 💡, you’re also supporting a charitable cause. Yes, you’re a runner AND a changemaker! 🌍 It’s the kind of challenge where you push your limits while leaving a positive imprint on local communities. Nothing better to be both athletic AND generous! 🌼

Once you’ve worked up a proper sweat, you can take some time to unwind, promise! 🤞 And for that you have several local activities on offer. The thermal springs of Antsirabe are great if you want to relax after the race 🛁. The Tritriva Lake, a mystical place surrounded by legends 🏞️, if you still have energy you can always go check it out! 👀 To discover local crafts we strongly recommend visiting the Push-Push workshop ! 🤩 And finally, if you want to wander a bit in the area, the city of Ambositra, about an hour’s drive 🛵, famous for its wood carvings 🪵, will truly dazzle you!

So, when do we take off? ✈️
