A mixed terrain course of earth, rock, and asphalt, through breathtaking Nordic-like landscapes where mud, cold, and rain test body and mind. The finish in the city streets marks a strong sense of camaraderie, followed by a comforting cocido montañés and a sobao or quesada to close the ordeal.
Headed to the charming village of Cabezón de la Sal, in the heart of the sublime and wild Cantabria 🇪🇸. This challenge imposes astronomical distances and cumulative climbs that will make your head spin. Your body will have to face endless passes and withstand historically capricious weather to survive this colossal feat! ⏱️
The dirt, rock, or pavement path launches you into a landscape of untamed beauty, a true green paradise in northern Spain. Your effort will take you through misty valleys, dense oak forests, and ascents that have become legendary. The immersion will force you to reach deep into your physical and mental reserves to face sticky mud, cold, or rain that show up far too often. You’ll feel like you’re waging an intimate battle against nature in landscapes worthy of the Jurassic era 🦖.

Keep a final survival instinct to honor the monumental and comforting Cantabrian cuisine once you cross the finish line. Carry your battered and dirt-covered body to the nearest inn to devour a staple cocido montañés (a hyper-robust stew made with white beans, cabbage, and charcuterie) to warm your soul, and finish on a sweet note with a delicious sobao pasiego or a slice of quesada.
