The Spreewald Marathon is much more than a race: four days of celebration devoted to endurance, nature, and sociability in one of Germany's most unique landscapes. For its 24th edition from April 16 to 19, 2026, the event brings together over 13,000 participants in Burg, Lübbenau, and Straupitz and offers varied distances: running, cycling, roller skating, and canoeing. The course traverses the Spreewald Biosphere Reserve (UNESCO) with regular refuel stations and the welcome of local gherkins at the finish.
