In Sovata, the Sovata Spartan is a military-style obstacle race where you alternate fast sections and challenges to overcome, to outdo yourself and come back proud, even with a little mud in your laces. Choose your terrain: SPRINT, SUPER, or a kids’ race, and get ready for “surprises” to overcome. After the effort, extend the weekend around Lacul Ursu, the Sovata station, or the local spa.
In Sovata, you come to get a little dirty, push yourself a lot, and leave with a big grin (and a bit of mud in your laces) 🪖.
The Sovata Spartan, it’s an obstacle race with a military flair: you alternate fast passages, challenges to conquer, and moments where you tell yourself “ok, I’m really alive” 🧗.
You choose your playground: the SPRINT to dive in without hesitation, the SUPER for a true adventure, and a kids’ race if you want to bring the whole crew (or come cheer like a competition coach) 👨👩👧.
My local guide tip: show up wearing shoes you don’t fear to love, save some energy for the “surprise” obstacles, and remember the goal is to finish proud, not clean 🧠.
After the effort, stay in the zone: head to the Ursu Lake (the famous salty lake), stroll around the Sovata station and its forest avenues, push on to Praid for the salt mine, or treat yourself to a relaxing moment at the thermal baths nearby — perfect for couples or families to turn fatigue into memory 📍.
You come for the race, you leave with a full weekend: a bit of “Spartan,” a lot of “Sovata,” and a story to tell at every obstacle you conquer! 🎯
