Gear up for a challenge that separates the enthusiasts from the true “iron men.” The Sainte-Croix Twardziel Supermarathon isn’t an ordinary race – it’s a foot or run ultra-marathon that pushes you on a distance of about 100 kilometers. The route crosses the most demanding and technical stretches of the Sainte-Croix mountains, including goblin-like scree fields surrounded by legends, steep climbs toward Święty Krzyż and the Jeleniowskie massif. This is an event for those who love mud, stones, nocturnal battles with their own psyche, and unpredictable weather. Here, you don’t just race against the clock; you race against the spirit of the Sainte-Croix mountains, which won’t forgive a lack of humility 🏃♂️⛰️🌑.
When, after about ten (or a few dozen) hours on the course, you finally cross the finish line, your body will crave a hero-worthy rest. The Sainte-Croix region has prepared the best “remedies” for the occasion:
Święty Krzyż (Łysa Góra) – if you still have enough leg strength to glance back at the route, this sanctuary is an energy-packed place. The view of the gołoborza from the observation deck helps grasp the magnitude of the difficulty you just conquered.
