Between sea and town, the Valras Plage SwimRun offers an amphibious immersion along the Occitanie coast, with water/land alternation and formats of 5 km, 9.735 km or 19.95 km to have fun according to one’s desire. Families and friends have dedicated children & junior courses, and the post-race near the start promises relaxation and a seaside atmosphere around the promenade of the seafront and the Valras-Plage port.
The Valras Plage SwimRun, it’s your best excuse to play amphibians between sea and town, with salty air as a bonus and Occitanie as the backdrop 😎.
Here, you alternate water and land to the rhythm of the waves, you stroll along the coast, you soak up the beach-town vibe, and you feel that everything is designed to make you enjoy yourself, whether you come solo, with friends, or as a pair 🤝.
Choose your format based on how you feel today: 5 km to start without overdoing it, 9,735 km to indulge for a long time, or 19,95 km to treat yourself to the “grand bath” version and soak it all in 🏁.
And if you come with family, big plus: there are also kids & juniors courses, perfect for passing on the adventure… and bargaining for a gelato after the effort 🍦.
Me, as a local guide, I’ll tell you this: the real luxury here is the post-race just steps from the start, when you switch into vacation mode. Take a stroll along the promenade du front de mer, head to the port of Valras-Plage for the vibe, or breathe in the mouth of the Orb near Sérignan. If you want to mix it up, a detour through Béziers (the Fonseranes locks and viewpoints) makes for a perfect outing without going far 🌅.
