Whether you’re an amateur or a pro, we all have dreams, goals to chase 🎯. We’re sure that the race we’re about to tell you about can be part of your dream list 📋, because we can assure you, races like this aren’t found in the thousands... 😎 This famous race is the SwissPeaks Trail ! 🇨🇭 True to its name, the event is organized in Switzerland ☀️, from the end of August to the beginning of September 🗓️. The SwissPeaks, it’s more than a race, it’s an adventure! 🚀 And to be honest, it’s an adventure that can last quite a while, from 10 km to 643 km to be precise 🫡. Yes, you read that right: 647 km, roughly the distance from Paris to Marseille 🚂, just to give you a rough idea! 💡 This year, the event will celebrate its 10th edition 🎂, ready to welcome runners from around the world to discover the stunning Canton of Valais 🏞️.
Let’s dive into the core and talk distances, because there’s a choice 🤗. Let’s start with the baby trails of SwissPeaks: the 10 km and the half marathon. These are the shortest distances 🤏, opening up to everyone who isn’t into long distances but still wants to be part of this big celebration 🎉. You’ll still need strong legs for the half marathon 🦵, because this one features 990 mD+ ⤴️. Following logically, the next distance is the marathon, and to be precise, it’s even 46 km and 2 480 mD+. Then, the SwissPeaks offers a distance of 72.6 km and 4 387 mD+ 😜. More than a race, it’s a real escape into nature and the great outdoors ⛰️, between the Dents du Midi and the Lac Léman 🚣. Attention, drumroll please, because the next race breaks the legendary 100 km barrier 100 km 🤩. It’s a race for runners who are truly motivated and ready to cross a part of Switzerland 🏃➡️. A little more patience ⌛, there are still three distances for the motivated... Or the craziest 🤪, to be seen. The SwissPeaks still has more to offer and invites athletes to cover 168 km and 10 990 mD+, with sections across legendary cols like the Col de Susanfe ! We’re nearing the finish, and the last two distances are impressive: 307 km and 27 530 mD+ to complete solo or in duo, and the cherry on top 🍒 is 643 km and 43 800 mD+. These distances are really reserved for the most experienced, seeking the challenge of a lifetime! 🔥 That said, you have plenty of choices, and depending on your level, you can join this incredible experience 💪. To finish, kids will also be part of it thanks to the SwissPeaks kids and its three routes open to youngsters aged 4 to 12 years 🧒.
The Swiss adventure is likely to warm you up, and not just for its chocolate... 🍫 You’ll see the scenery is stunning 🌄, nature shines, and you’ll have it all to yourself 🙂↔️. You’ll discover gorgeous places that will wow you with color 🌈. From the Lac Léman, passing through Morzine, the Col de la Forclaz 🗻, the Mont Gelé, and plenty more surprises 🎁. Finally, after exploring every nook of the Switzerland, we recommend taking time to sit back and discover some local specialties 😋. And speaking of specialties, how could we not mention the delicious culinary delights 🫕. Whether you’re more into team savory or sweet 🍬, you’ll find something to delight your taste buds among fondue 🧀, raclette, or desserts like Engadine nut tart or a good bar of Swiss chocolate 🍭.
In any case, this event seems to have all the ingredients for a great success, and the only thing missing is you! 👉
