About this event

Between Port-Valais and the far reaches of the Swiss Alps, the SwissPeaks Trail offers a true athletic adventure with distances ranging from 10 km to 643 km, for those who want to go big no matter their level. In August-September, it enters its 10th edition and draws runners from all over the world ready to traverse landscapes of mountains and Lake Geneva. A unique trail experience, at the heart of Switzerland, between nature and summits.

Whether you’re an amateur or a pro, we all have dreams, goals to chase 🎯. We’re sure the race we’re about to tell you can be part of your dream list 📋, because we can promise you, races like this aren’t a dime a dozen... 😎 This famous race is the SwissPeaks Trail ! 🇨🇭 As its name suggests, the event is held in Switzerland ☀️, from the end of August to the beginning of September 🗓️. The SwissPeaks, it’s more than a race—it's an adventure! 🚀 And truth be told, it’s an adventure that can last from 10 km up to 643 km to be precise 🫡. Yes, you read that right: 647 km, the equivalent of Paris-Marseille 🚂, to give you a rough idea! 💡 This year, the event will celebrate its 10th edition 🎂, ready to welcome runners from all corners of the globe to discover the stunning Canton of Valais 🏞️.

Let’s get to the point and talk distances, because there’s something for everyone 🤗. Let’s start with the baby distances of the trails SwissPeaks : the 10 km and the half marathon. These are the smallest distances 🤏, open to anyone who isn’t into long distances but still wants to be part of this great festival 🎉. Still, you’ll need legs in good shape 🦵, because for this half-marathon there is 990 mD+ ⤴️. Following the logical progression, the next distance is the marathon, and to be exact, it’s even 46 km and 2 480 mD+. Then, the SwissPeaks offers a distance of 72.6 km and 4 387 mD+ 😜. More than a race, it’s a true escape into nature ⛰️, between the Dents du Midi and the Lac Léman 🚣. Attention, drumroll please—next race crosses the legendary 100 km barrier 🤩. It’s a race for truly motivated runners ready to traverse a part of Switzerland 🏃‍➡️. A little patience ⌛, there are still three distances for the most motivated... Or the boldest 🤪, to be seen. The SwissPeaks still has more up its sleeve and invites top athletes to cover 168 km and 10 990 mD+, with passages through legendary cols like the Col de Susanfe ! We’re nearing the end, and the last two distances are stunning: 307 km and 27 530 mD+ to complete solo or in a duo, and the cherry on top 🍒, it’s 643 km and 43 800 mD+. These distances are truly reserved for the most experienced, seeking the challenge of a lifetime! 🔥 That said, you have plenty of choice, and depending on your level, you can join this incredible experience 💪. Finally, children will also be part of it thanks to the SwissPeaks children and its three courses open to kids aged 4 to 12 years 🧒.

The Swiss might melt you, and not just because of its chocolate... 🍫 You’ll see, the landscapes are stunning 🌄, nature shines, and you’ll have it all to yourself 🙂‍↔️. You’ll discover beautiful places that will show you all the colors 🌈. From the Lac Léman, passing through Morzine, the Col de la Forclaz 🗻, the Mont Gelé, and plenty more surprises 🎁. Finally, after uncovering every corner of the Suisse, we recommend taking your time to sit back and discover some local specialties 😋. And speaking of specialties, how can we skip mentioning the delicious culinary specialties 🫕. Whether you’re more team savory or sweet 🍬, you’ll find delights for your taste buds among the tasty fondues 🧀, raclettes, or desserts like Engadine nut tart or a good square of Swiss chocolate 🍭.

In any case, this event seems to have all the ingredients for a great success, and the only thing missing is you! 👉
