From Mérignac, near Bordeaux, to Terra Rhona Bordeaux—a 12 km obstacle course that is definitively festive and welcoming. Accessible to everyone, the course can be run solo or in a team without the obligation to overcome every obstacle, and it offers a charitable option if you wish. Also open to youth with Terra Teens from age 12, the event blends sport, solidarity, and discovery of the Gironde surroundings.
Get ready, we’re taking you to Bordeaux for France’s most festive race of the year: the Terra Rhona Bordeaux! 🥳 A must-not-miss date on your calendar this year! But what is this wild race? 🤪 Simply put a 12 km obstacle course that takes place in Mérignac, a neighboring town to Bordeaux.
An obstacle course inspired by military obstacle courses... but without the blood and tears! (pinkie promise 🤞) The course is indeed accessible to everyone and there’s no requirement to overcome obstacles to keep having fun! This isn’t the army, focus on the fun 😜. A solo or team. And good news! The organizers have chosen to be supportive. Your registration fee can be donated to a charity if you wish! 😇 Kids aren’t left out since the Terra Teens (true to its name) is a children/junior race (open to ages 12 and up). The Terra Rhona Bordeaux is clearly a date everyone looks forward to! Parents be warned: kids will be all too happy to bring home mud 😂.
As you’ve guessed, the Terra Rhona Bordeaux race takes you to the Gironde region with a friendly spirit, aiming to build teamwork and solidarity above all else 🤝. If you love obstacle races 🚧 or want to try one, you’re in the right place! 🏴☠️ The advantage of racing around Bordeaux, is that the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region isn’t the last to visit... Here, nature lovers 🍃 like city lovers will find their happiness 🫶.
The Girondelargest department of the France metropolitan area, is a wonderful department, renowned for its easygoing lifestyle and nature. You’re in for a treat around the race. Bordeaux is a big city but remains human-scale, full of cool spots to discover and great nightlife 💃. And just an hour from downtown, facing the Atlantic, the largest dune in Europe, the famous dune du Pilat, awaits nature lovers and wide sandy beaches 🏖. The Arcachon Bay and the Cap Ferret are also worth a visit! So who said you can’t have fun, work up a sweat, soak in scenery, and have a good time all at once? 😝
