The Amazon Ultra Trail is a unique running experience set in the world's largest tropical rainforest and along the stunning beaches of the Rio Negro. Designed for those who want to embark on an extraordinary adventure, this race immerses participants in the terrain, climate, and biodiversity of the Amazon. Distances range from short 5 km and 10 km runs to ultras of 30 km, 50 km, 100 km, 160 km, and a challenging 160 km + 95 km prologue. The courses, shaped by the floods and ebb tides of the Rio Negro, stay fluid up to race day, an unpredictable element that heightens the challenge and authenticity of the experience. More than just a race, it’s a cultural journey where runners undergo Amazon survival training, meet Indigenous communities, and attend presentations that highlight the region’s ancient traditions. The registration includes river transfers, meals, medical support, and lodging for the longer distances. All runners receive the necessary race gear, hydration drinks, and a medal upon finishing.”
