Le Donut 5K se déroule dans un nouveau lieu, le Butler Bowl de l'université Butler, avec une ligne d'arrivée sur le terrain. Les participants peuvent déguster des beignets Jack's Donuts pendant l'événement et à l'arrivée. La course soutient les refuges pour animaux locaux et offre une récompense en espèces aux meilleurs coureurs masculins et féminins.
