Saturday, October 3, 2026 Mission Oak High School 3442 E. Bardsley Ave. Tulare, CA 93274 The Grind Classic returns for its fifth installment, bringing together athletes from across California for a full day of Gi and NoGi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition. Kids, adults, beginners, and experienced competitors are all welcome.
Registration
Registration Opens: July 20th, 2026, at 12:00 AM (PDT) Registration Closes: October 1, 2026, at 12:00 AM (PDT)
Early Bird: $65 Regular: $75 Late: $85.
Cost for both Gi & NoGi: $125 throughout all registration periods.
Divisions
Kids Gi, Kids NoGi, Juvenile Gi, Juvenile NoGi, Adult Gi, Adult NoGi.
Belt Levels: White, Gray, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Brown, Black Youngest Age: 3 years old All Masters divisions offered.
Weigh-Ins
Virtual weigh-ins only for Kids and Adults. All competitors must make the exact registered weight. Detailed instructions will be published before the event.
You do not have to weigh in with your GI
Rules
Modified JJWL Ruleset. - Last Point Scored rule will NOT be used. - Transitional points will be awarded. Complete ruleset will be published before the tournament.
Sub-Only Tournament
Following the regular tournament: Sub Only tournament. -168 lb. Division +168 lb. Division
-168lb Championship and +168lb Championship Matches.

Professional photographers and videographers will be on-site.

Two trained medical staff members will be present throughout the event.
Refund & Transfer Policy
100% refund through September 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM (PDT). Competitor transfers are allowed. Registration changes/transfers must be completed by September 30, 2026, at 8:00 AM (PDT).
