Le semi-marathon des pyramides de Marakez est la course sur route la plus importante d'Égypte. C'est une occasion unique de courir à côté de la dernière merveille du monde antique encore debout : la grande pyramide de Gizeh. Organisé par TriFactory, cet événement propose des courses de 5 km, 10 km et 21 km, les courses de 10 km et le semi-marathon étant officiellement certifiés par l'AIMS. Le parcours serpente à travers le plateau historique de Gizeh, passant devant des temples anciens, le Grand Sphinx et les trois pyramides emblématiques de Khéops, Khéphren et Mykérinos. Le terrain est varié, avec des pentes douces qui mettent les coureurs au défi sans les épuiser. Ouverte à tous les âges et à tous les niveaux, la course offre des paysages à couper le souffle.
