Set off on an Urban Trail in this magnificent city located in the heart of the Rhône department. The event takes place in March 🗓️, so in terms of weather 🌤️, it can range from a dreary winter gloom 🌫️ to a lovely sunny spring day 🌸. In Lyon, we love the sharing, the friendliness and the festive gatherings 😊, so here everyone gets a say!4 distances to choose from, you can take on the Rhodanian streets, no matter your level 😉. It's up to you to find the race that fits between the 12 km, the 18 km, the 28 km and 38 km. A 12 km hike is also on the program if you want to enjoy the charm of the City of Light more calmly ✌️. The city is the PIONEER in Europe 🇪🇺, with a masterful organization and meticulous care to give you an unforgettable moment!

We guarantee that, whatever your choice, you will fall completely in love with the old capital of the Gauls 😍. On race day, Finishers 🏃‍♀️ head from all directions to the Quai Fulchiron to sprint onto the start line of this historic trail and give you a tourist discovery like no other. It’s a true immersion in Lyon awaiting you, with passages through the sloping streets of the old town. There will be some elevation 📈! We don’t want to scare you 😱, but you’ll go up (and down) regardless of the race you choose 😂. With a start and a finish that take place in Old Lyon, you’ll get to climb to the top of the famous Fourvière hilland admire the magnificent Basilica of the same name ⛪️. And what about Croix-Rousse, where you’ll have the chance, once you reach its summit, to observe a postcard-sized view of the city 😍. If you’re a fan of panoramic views, you’ll be spoiled! 🔭

Your main challenge on the LUT will be to brave the trailbridges, but especially the stairs of Lyon 🔥. There are no fewer than 6 000 steps waiting for you on the 38 km! 😱 We hope you’re not a couch potatoa lazy man in Lyonnais slang 🦥. Between the roads and the cobbled streets of the city, you’ll run along and cross the Saône, one of the two rivers that flow through the city 💦. This Urban Trail is packed with surprises 🎁 and unusual passages in front of UNESCO World Heritage landmarks 🗽. Notably the crossing of the LUGDUNUM - Museum and Roman theatres, the routes through iconic public squares, but also through many public parks including the Bois de la Caille 🌳 for the 28 km and the 38 km, contrasting with Lyon's urban landscape 🏙️. A chance to reclaim the city from a new angle. Incidentally, the event slogan says it perfectly: "The city as you’ve never seen it". Your return toward Old Lyon to cross the finish line 🏁 will be met with a roar of applause from the locals 👏. And spectators will be numerous. remember you are in the third city in France 🥉.

Once you pass the line, it’s time to discover the Lyon region and its surroundings. Head to the Old Lyon and its architectural heritage rich in omega 3 ⛪️. Treat yourself to a cultural adventure in the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon which is among the most important in Europe 🖼️. You can also note on your to-do list the Musée des Confluences of History and Natural Science and Societies with its modern architecture 🏺.
