Trail Rose

In the heart of the Drôme (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), north of Valence and just a few kilometers from Romans-sur-Isère, the small commune of Chanos-Curson offers you a high-spirited trail event. Bathed in the scent, not of roses but of surrounding vineyards 🍇, it’s in October, when autumn temperatures are still mild, that the event launches the start of its 4 races: two Nordic walking events of 5 km and 10 km and two trails of 5 km and 10 km as well.

After a common start from the village of Chanos-Curson, (and not Thanos the teddy bear, who may turn into an unexpected character of the next Avengers 🦸‍♂️), head into the great outdoors. We warned you—the view you’ll have during your race is of countless vineyards, stretching as far as the eye can see. Hop Hop Hop! Now isn’t the time for grape-picking! We know you might be disappointed, but you must water down your wine 😉. You’ll find yourself back in the village to the cheers of volunteers and spectators encouraging you at the end of the course.

But the Trail Rose is much more than just a run through stunning Drôme landscapes! Choosing October is no accident either. The blend of the two gives: Pink October! The race indeed takes place during this symbolic period aimed at raising awareness about the fight against breast cancer 🎗. Very involved in this cause, the organizers donate all proceeds to the association SeinformerCancer! So put on your prettiest pink jersey, and come start this warm and committed charity race.

The event is also energized by a pink village with information and prevention stands. Running for a good cause—what more could you ask for to stay motivated...🤔 Well, maybe one thing: the prospect of a regional culinary reward! 🤤 Start with a hearty plate of ravioles du Dauphiné, followed by a delicious local cheese: the Picodon. If you have room left, we recommend a slice of Romans brioche, pogne de Romans, its sweetness will drive you wild.

Before or after the race, also take a detour to Valence the capital of the Drôme, which will charm you, and you can enjoy its beautiful squares and its charming, welcoming old town.
