Around the bend of the river, the Trail de l'Aubetin promises a gripping race in Saint-Augustin, Seine-et-Marne. Prepared for winter, it offers 4 distances (9, 12, 20 and 28 km) plus a 12 km walk and a warm, friendly atmosphere, in a forest where mud and slips occasionally make an appearance. The courses pass by the village mill, along the river and feature sections on damp trails before finishing in a straight final stretch.

Meet us in Saint-Augustin in Seine-et-Marne, Île-de-France. This town welcomes you for a trail in the 77 in February, so gloves, beanies, and all cold-weather gear will be essential 🥶. To warm up, the organizers have planned 4 distances across the warm and welcoming atmospheres : 9 km, 12 km, 20 km and 28 km, plus a 12 km walk.
After a good warm-up (by following the coach's 4 steps 🤣) you’ll traverse the town from end to end. Then, if you’re not a total klutz, there’s no reason to get lost in the surrounding woods like those of Boulayes 😉. To the right, to the left, it twists, climbs, descends and is likely to be slippery on the trails of your Saint-Augustin trail. You’ll even cross the village mill which will add variety to the scenery of your nature run. And as a biodiversity lover, you’ll skirt the Aubetin river (coincidence, I suppose?) and even run in a stream. Tie your shoes tight, unlucky one, especially since mud will likely be part of it but don’t worry, there will be bridges to spare you some of these watery passages 💦. Your largely forest trail will end with a straight stretch, so run Forrest, run !
Once you arrive, the finish reception will warm your heart. And for your body, head to the charming town of Coulommiers for a leisurely stroll along its river. It’s the perfect chance to sample local specialties: the Coulommier obviously and Le Brie, what a delight! 🧀
